Summer 2009

Well, it's almost the end of August and I finally got arround in updating my blog.  If you read my last entry, I was stating all the work I had to do around the house.  Well, I know a lot of work was done but it has taken on different forms.  The below is a recap of the work around the outside of the house.

• Main & Pool Deck:  Finished railings, the step, sanding, and staining.  I didn't get around to doing the skirting.
• Light for the BBQ still has to be done.
• Still have to fix the fence (thrown posts; reset the panels).
• Got to chaulk around windows, etc.; hopefully this fall
• Sanding & painting veranda columns and rails has to be done before permanently damaged.
• Paint the front & garage door; desperately needs it.  I did replace the outside lights with new fixtures.
• Still have to fix/seal the eve troughs.

As for the inside, there has been many developments...  In my previous entry, I mentioned working on the bathroom.  Well, the bathroom is complete save some accent tile.  All the framing in the basement is complete (except for some minor things in the office).  All electrical is roughed in.  The garage has been cleaned out (with a yard sale) but now is filled up again following framing.  At that point, work stopped in the basement and began upstairs.  The big change is redoing Catherine's room and the guest room (Madeleine's room). Following that, I proceeded to install a home distributed audio, security, & automation system which introduced a ton of wiring.  And that is where I stopped; that was in May.  More to follow...
